Hammertons Ferry

 

Hammertons Ferry is a family run business that was taken over by Francis and Jenny Spencer 7 years ago. The family has dedicated their time and effort into running a successful and friendly business.

 

 

 In 1908 Walter Hammerton (1881-1956), of a local Twickenham family established a business for hiring out boats from a boathouse located opposite Marble Hill. In 1909 he established a running ferry.

 

 

The current ferry Peace Of Mind was built at Teddington in 1997. Hammertons original skiff is on display at the museum in Docklands.
